Macroporous Weak-Acid Acrylic-Series Cation-Exchange Resin for Fine-tuning PH of Organic-Synthesis Reaction-Liquids Induced by H+                   

PRODUCT DATA SHEET:

KP-1123 is a macro-porous acrylic-polymerized cation exchange resin with weak-acid carboxylic acid groups. Characterized by its special weak functional groups, KP-1123 is more likely to conduct reversible ionization reactions so that resins are quite readily to be desorbed and thus perform high exchange capacity with large amounts of inorganic and organic cations if any. In response, same amounts of H+ are passively released into the reaction solutions to lower PH into weak alkalinity or weak acidity. Due to its inactivity of releasing Hunder conditions of no ions to exchange, it is most suitable in specific chemical synthesis that require certain qty of H+ to induce it to be initiated, or used as for fine-tuning the degree of alkalinity of solution considering its relatively weak catalytic effect.

In regard to the overall adsorption capacity of organic cations or positive organic molecules as compared to strong-acid resin catalyst, KP-1123 performs greater total exchange volume during each operating service cycle. Therefore, KP-1123 is often used to decolor and deodorize liquids meanwhile regulating its PH to improve the flavor of food and beverages. More primarily, it has been also widely applied in stimulating biopharmaceutical, cosmetic, petrochemical synthetic reactions where organic composition is fine to be separated without affecting its composition efficacy.
