Macroporous Styrene Series Chelating Weak-Acid Cation-Exchange Resin Catalyst
for Fine-tuning PH of Organic-Synthesis Induced by Na+ or H+
PRODUCT DATA SHEET:
KP-7503 is a macroporous styrene-based weak-acid cation exchange resin-type catalyst containing iminediacetic acids as the chelating functional groups. Characterized by its special dual carboxylic acids groups, this resin model's binding force with positive organic cations as well as inorganic metallic cations that are equal to or greater than divalence if any, is multiplied to form stable complexes, to be cleared as required throughout the organic synthetic reactions. In response of cation exchange, this resin catalyst KP-7503 will passively release its factory carried Na+ to stimulate the adaptive reactions involving sodions.
Alternatively, KP-7503 is most commonly applied within the reaction-liquids of esterification or other acids-driven organic synthesis by transforming ion state into H+ form before-use. Due to its inactivity of releasing H+ under conditions of no ions to exchange, it is most suitable in specific chemical synthesis that require certain qty of H+ to induce it to be initiated, or used as for fine-tuning the degree of alkalinity of solution into weak alkalinity or weak acidity, considering its relatively weak catalytic effect.
In addition, its weak-acid groups also empower its easy-elution and strong regenerative capacity so that it performs greater total exchange volume of adsorbing organic matter in exchange of releasing H+ during each operating service cycle. KP-7503 thereby is often used to decolor and deodorize liquids meanwhile regulating its PH to improve the flavor of food and beverages. More primarily, it has been also widely applied in stimulating biopharmaceutical, cosmetic, petrochemical synthetic reactions where certain metallic complexes and organic composition are required or permitted to be separated without affecting its composition efficacy.
