PRODUCT DATA SHEET:

SD180 is a polyacrylic-series macroporous adsorption resin with special matrix polymerized by weak base acrylic acid and divinylbenzene(DVB), connecting unique ammonium functional groups. By its negative polar groups whose surface has both hydrophobic and hydrophillic parts, SD180 is attached to both nonpolar substances and positive polar molecules from polar or nonpolar solvents.

In addition to its special groups, SD180's unique mesh skeleton structure and appropriate pore diameter together qualifies SD180 to have superior affinity to specific aminoglycoside semi-synthetic antibiotics such as ikacin, sisomicin, tobramucin, etc. Therefore, SD180 adsorbent is mainly used in biopharmaceutical production for separation and extraction of such antibiotics.
